There are two payment options available

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express)
  • PayPal


Invoices are paid automatically when using credit card.

To add or change your card, open the payment details page, https://home.binarylane.com.au/billing/payment-details, replace the existing card details and click Save. Your next invoice is charged to the new card.


If a payment attempt using a credit card fails, you can retry the payment from the billing page by clicking Retry Payment in the notification banner on the 'Billing' page: https://home.binarylane.com.au/billing/pending


PayPal automatic payment is not supported. Customers who are using PayPal and would like automatic payments are encouraged to fund their accounts with enough credits to cover expected costs.

Invoices for customers using PayPal must be paid manually by clicking the 'Pay with PayPal' link displayed on the invoices page of your BinaryLane account profile.

New server on a PayPal account: paying the first invoice

If your account pays by PayPal and has no card on file, Add Server takes you to PayPal to pay the new server's first invoice, and the server is built once PayPal confirms the payment. If your account credit covers the invoice, it is settled from your credit instead.

  • If you closed the PayPal page before paying, the invoice is still waiting: open Billing in mPanel, find the unpaid invoice and click Pay with PayPal. The server builds once the payment clears.
  • If you pressed Cancel on the PayPal page, that invoice and the server request were cancelled: create the server again from Add Server and complete the payment.
  • If PayPal shows the payment as pending, the server starts building once PayPal clears it.
  • After PayPal, mPanel may show your server list rather than the new server; that is expected.

Card declined when signing up

If your card is declined or the transaction fails at the payment step of signup, the payment gateway's fraud detection and prevention services have usually flagged the attempt. Try a different card, or use PayPal instead. We cannot provide a workaround for a payment gateway block at signup. No payment goes through for a failed attempt; a temporary $1 authorisation hold may appear on your card and is released by your bank (see What is the $1 charge on my credit card for?).

Server waiting because billing was never set up

If an account has not finished setting up its payment method (for example, the PayPal sign-up page was left before agreeing), a new server waits at building. If the payment method is still not set up after 7 days, the order is cancelled automatically. To get the server, set up your payment method under Billing in mPanel, then create the server again from Add Server.


BinaryLane does not support other billing methods at present.
