Binary Lane residents with two or more cloud servers automatically have data-transfer/bandwidth pooling enabled: the ability to combine each server's data transfer limit into an aggregated, service-wide limit. If you have two servers and your first VPS reaches its data limit, data consumption will be recorded against the second VPS until both have reached their limit.
More generally, this is how it works:
- As each cloud server consumes data, it is added to that server's monthly "data usage" counter.
- If a server reaches its data limit, we will check your other cloud servers to find the VPS that has consumed the least data. The data usage is added to that low-usage server instead, so that you the high-usage server's data transfer limit is not exceeded.
- Eventually, all your cloud servers might reach their data limit, after which further data used will be recorded normally and billed as excess data (charged at $0.01 per GB).
