Looking for private networking between your servers? Use a VPC: see Set up private networking between your BinaryLane servers. The shared LAN described below is a legacy facility and is not private to your account.
Each server is allocated an IP address on the internal BinaryLane LAN at no charge. This is an unrouted address from the 172.21.0.0/16 private address block.
Customers with two or more servers in the same location are able to send data over this network without impacting their traffic quota or incurring any other costs.
Important security notice: Please note that this secondary network is shared amongst all customers. If a private/secure connection is required, please use a Virtual Private Cloud.
Customers are encouraged to use a Virtual Private Cloud for private LAN connectivity.
