This article covers what you need for a domain registration to succeed, and why a domain order can wait while your BinaryLane account is reviewed.

Registering a domain


Register a domain in mPanel at https://home.binarylane.com.au/add-domain-registration. If an earlier registration was rejected because eligibility could not be verified, register it again from the same page with corrected details.


Eligibility verification


  • The registrant details you enter must match your official identification documents exactly, or the registration will fail validation.
  • A verification email is sent to the registrant email address you enter for the domain. Check that inbox and follow the instructions to validate your eligibility.
  • Eligibility validation must be completed by you. Our support team cannot validate it on your behalf.


Orders waiting for the account review


If mPanel says a feature is "only available for accounts that have been reviewed", or your domain order is waiting, your account review has not finished yet. Domain registrations, renewals and paid transfers are held until the review is complete. Reviews typically take 24–48 hours on business days. Your order is waiting, not lost, and continues once the review is complete.


Transferring a domain in before the review


Until your account has been reviewed, a domain can only be transferred to us as a free transfer, without adding renewal years. If a domain offers "Free transfer (without renewal)", you can start that transfer now. Whether a domain allows this is shown when you check it for transfer.


If you see "Paid domain transfers are not available until your account has been approved", "This domain requires a paid renewal as part of transfer" or "Domain transfer requires renewal, which is not available until your account has been approved", the registry requires a paid renewal as part of transferring that domain, so the transfer can't start yet. Once the review is complete:

  1. Open Domains in mPanel.
  2. Submit the transfer again with your auth code.
  3. Choose the renewal period.

Renewals are also only available after the review, so check the domain's expiry date before you transfer it.


After your account is approved


Once your account has been approved for domain purchases, log out of mPanel and log back in. The domain options can stay greyed out or blocked in the session you were already logged in to.
