When your VPS is created, your server's 'Administrator' account password is automatically generated and emailed to you. It is also displayed on-screen until you've reloaded the page or navigated away.

It is recommended that you change this password straight away for security reasons. You can do this by pressing the `Send Ctrl+Alt+Del` button or via lusrmgr.msc (Local Users and Computers)

If you've lost or forgotten your password for this account, you'll be able to perform a password reset from within the mPanel:

  1. Log in to your BinaryLane account and navigate to the server you'd like to reset the password for
  2. Select the settings icon (⚙️) next to your server's name
  3. Click the ` - Reset password` option
  4. Within this page, select the button `Reset Password`

Once your password has been reset:

  1. Go to your server's dashboard (default screen)
  2. Wait for the desktop to appear - if you need to login, use "Administrator" with no password
  3. Press the `Send Ctrl+Alt+Del` button and choose "Change Password" from the dialog that appears
  4. The old password field must be left completely blank (because right now, there is no password)
  5. Enter your new password
